Influencer Anthony Dawson, known as TooTurntTony, threw model CeCe Rose into the water as human fishing bait in a bizarre social media stunt. The video shows Rose tied to a rope with dead fish strapped to her body, lowered into a harbour as a human bobber. Rose claims she nearly drowned and could have been underwater for two minutes before Dawson rescued her.
Stunt details and model's experience
CeCe Rose was rigged up with dead fish and dropped into the water near a harbour. The video, uploaded by Dawson, shows her being lowered before she appears pulled below the surface. Rose told Daily Mail she felt calm entering the water, believing a great white shark wouldn't be in the area. She said, 'At the end of the day, I knew a great white shark wouldn’t be in the area so I just held onto that thought.'
Dawson admitted on camera he 'probably should’ve used a smaller bait' and described the stunt as 'a complete s***show.' Rose later assured fans she was safe, writing, 'Haha I’m fine everyone I promise.'
Viral reaction and concerns
The clip was viewed more than 10.6 million times. However, many users expressed concern. One commented, 'What happens when she gets ate by a shark?' Another wrote, 'Dude your gonna get someone killed if it hasn’t happened already.' The video ends with two men posing with a small shark before releasing it into the water.
Despite the danger, no one was harmed in the stunt. Rose guessed she could have been underwater for two minutes, though she admitted it might have been less. The incident highlights the extreme lengths some influencers go to for viral content.
