He entered the property and exited a short time later wearing different clothing, then boarded a train back to London. Immediately after the murder, Ciorba began using Oronsaye's bank cards, demonstrating a callous disregard for the victim.

On 17 July 2025, police arrested Ciorba at his home address in Longbridge Road, Barking. During the arrest, officers recovered the victim's bank cards and car keys, along with paperwork related to a small claims dispute between the two individuals.
