London's Chancery Rosewood Named World's Best New Luxury Hotel for 2025
London hotel tops global list of best new luxury hotels

London has secured a prestigious accolade in the world of high-end hospitality. A new ranking has officially declared that the world's best new luxury hotel opened in the British capital in 2025.

A Historic Win for Mayfair

The coveted title has been awarded by the exclusive members' club Luxury Travel Intelligence (LTI). In its annual global assessment, LTI placed The Chancery Rosewood at the very top of its list of the top 15 luxury hotel openings for the year. The hotel, which welcomed its first guests on September 1, 2025, occupies the Grade II-listed former US embassy building on Grosvenor Square in Mayfair, offering a uniquely grand setting.

This West London retreat is a destination in itself, featuring an impressive eight restaurants and bars, a roof terrace, a large swimming pool, and the expansive Asaya Spa. Notably, the property is an all-suite establishment, with even the most modest accommodation starting at a spacious 53 to 57 square metres. A stay here commands a premium, with nightly rates beginning at £1,280.

Beating Global Competition

The Chancery Rosewood's achievement is significant, as it was the sole London hotel to feature on LTI's 2025 list. It surpassed other highly anticipated openings around the globe, including &Beyond Suyian Lodge in Kenya, Aman Bangkok, and Collegio alla Querce in Florence to claim the number one spot.

What the Experts Said

In its citation, LTI highlighted the exceptional year for the Rosewood brand, which placed three properties on the list—a first for any luxury hospitality group. The panel stated: "The Chancery is the most anticipated, given its location, amenities and sheer opulence. As demonstrated in recent years, when you bring a new ultra-luxury hotel to London it has to be truly exceptional even just to resonate and, in this case, it certainly does." They concluded by calling it the "highly deserving recipient" of the world's best new luxury hotel title for 2025.

This award cements London's status as a leading destination for ultra-luxury travel and showcases the successful transformation of a historic diplomatic address into a contemporary haven of opulence.
