Last-Minute Valentine's Day 2026: 7 Romantic London Restaurants with Open Tables
If you haven't booked anything for Valentine's Day 2026 yet, you're cutting it incredibly fine, but don't stress—your partner never needs to know about the panic booking. We've done the hard work to uncover which of London's most romantic dining spots still have tables available for February 14. While most reservations are for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, beggars can't be choosers, and these options offer a perfect setting for love.
Noble Rot, Mayfair
Noble Rot's elegant locations in Bloomsbury and Soho are fully booked for Valentine's Day, but its third restaurant in Mayfair still has some slots open. You can reserve a table for two on the outdoor terrace between 12pm and 2.30pm and enjoy a great-value set lunch: £24 for two courses or £28 for three.
Kettner's, Soho
With plush velvet booths, white taper candles, and regal decor, French restaurant Kettner's has witnessed over 150 years of romance, famously where King Edward VII wooed his mistress Lillie Langtry. While dinner tables are gone, you can still secure a spot for breakfast or lunch between 8.30am and 2.30pm—not as sexy, but a charming alternative.
Lao Dao, Walworth
Lao Dao might not be the first place that comes to mind for romance, but its sultry 1930s interiors and Xinjiang-inspired menu will set the mood for love. Tables are available on February 14 between 12pm and 3pm, 5pm and 5.30pm, and 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
Mount Street Restaurant, Mayfair
Extremely chic and very expensive, Mount Street Restaurant in Mayfair is impressive enough that your date won't mind an early start. It currently has open bookings for breakfast from 9am or brunch from 12.30pm until 3.30pm, where you can order the show-stopping, made-for-couples lobster pie.
Twenty8Nomad, Covent Garden
The Hilton's Twenty8Nomad restaurant still has afternoon tea or brunch spots available at 2.30pm and 2.45pm, plus standard dinner slots at 4pm and 4.15pm. Two tables remain for the Valentine's Day set menu at these times, featuring a £95 three-course meal with chicken terrine, seafood and saffron risotto, and strawberry chocolate profiterole.
Balthazar, Covent Garden
While a trip to Paris is off the table, Balthazar in Covent Garden offers the next best thing with red banquettes and mirrors, serving signature dishes like onion soup and duck shepherd's pie. Tables are available from 10am to 11.30am for brunch or at 2.15pm for a special Valentine's set menu featuring surf and turf at £49 per person.
Fischers, Marylebone
Old-school romance abounds at Austrian restaurant Fischers, with the distinguished glamour of a Viennese ballroom and traditional classics from gröstls to schnitzel. Reservations are open between 9am and 3.45pm on Valentine's Day, and it reserves some tables for walk-ins if you want to try your luck.
