Rihanna Reveals Terrifying Moment She Fled for Safety After Woman Fired Bullets at Home

Rihanna has recalled the terrifying moment that she fled for her life after gunshots tore through her Beverly Hills home. Earlier this month, a 35-year-old woman from Orlando, Florida, was charged with attempted murder following a shooting at the home of pop superstar Rihanna.

Details of the Shooting Incident

Ivanna Lisette Ortiz is accused of firing at least 10 shots at the singer's Los Angeles mansion from across the street using a semiautomatic rifle. Now, according to new police reports obtained by the Daily Mail, Rihanna – whose real name is Robyn Fenty – said she was inside an Airstream trailer on the grounds of her mansion when she suddenly heard what sounded like 10 loud bangs on metal.

Waking her partner, rapper A$AP Rocky, the singer realised that these were actually gunshots after she pulled back the curtain to find bullet holes in the windshield directly in front of where she had been standing just moments earlier. Grabbing Rocky out of bed, she reportedly told him they were being shot at, and pushed both of them to the ground, the report states.

Immediate Response and Safety Measures

Rocky – whose real name Rakim Mayers – told police that he woke up to Rihanna telling him: They shooting at us. The couple is then believed to have scrambled to safety, running into the garage to secure their children and staff. This comes after Ortiz, who is currently being held on $10,200,000 (£7.6m) bail, appeared in court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to 14 charges, including attempted murder.

Prosecutors say Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, drove to the star's home March 8 and opened fire on the $13.8 million property with an AR-15 assault rifle. Ortiz, who has since been arrested and charged with attempted murder, is currently being held on $10,200,000 (£7.6m) bail and faces up to life in prison if convicted.

Legal Proceedings and Security Concerns

Discussing the high bail, Deputy District Attorney Alexander Bott told the court: This could easily have resulted in multiple homicides… of children and adults. Bott also added that the shooting was premeditated, explaining how Ortiz drove to Rihanna's home with a loaded weapon, ammunition and a wig as a disguise.

Following the home shooting, Rihanna is said to be putting new security in place at her home. A source told People the Umbrella singer is freaking the f**k out after the terrifying incident. Rihanna heard the shots, but was initially confused about what happened, a second insider added. Even with a great security team in place, it's scary to realise that something like this can still happen.
