Coronation Street Confirms Justice for Abuser Megan in Grim New Trailer

A chilling new promo trailer for Coronation Street has confirmed that time is running out for abuser Megan Walsh, portrayed by Beth Nixon, as her dark and manipulative nature as a predator is finally set to be exposed this month. Fans have long awaited this moment, with the teacher having groomed student Will Driscoll, played by Lucas Hodgson-Wale, for months. So far, only Sam Blakeman, acted by Jude Riordan, has pieced together the truth on the eponymous Street.

Megan's Cruel Tactics and Sam's Struggle

In a desperate bid to keep her secret hidden, vile Megan adopted a particularly cruel approach to dealing with Sam, taking delight in tearing apart his character to discredit him should she need to defend herself. Sam has been under immense stress ever since, fearing that his attempt to catch Megan out would backfire after she threatened to report him for recording her, branding him a 'pervert'.

Leanne Battersby Launches Investigation

However, the end is nigh for the abuser. Upcoming scenes will see Leanne Battersby, played by Jane Danson, have her suspicions piqued as she launches an investigation to uncover the truth. In shocking developments, she discovers Megan's abuse of Will and her campaign of cruel bullying towards Sam.

Residents Reel as Truth Emerges

Word of Megan's behaviour and actions spreads to the Rovers Return, leaving Ben, portrayed by Aaron McCusker, Eva Price, acted by Catherine Tyldesley, and murderous Maggie, played by Pauline McLynn, reeling. The burning question remains: will any of the clan take action to gather evidence to ensure Megan pays for her deeds, or will they seek revenge?

Connection to Flash-Forward Tragedy

Megan is one of several characters featured in a flash-forward scene last month, depicting events from April where tragedy strikes on the day of Carla Connor and Lisa Swain's wedding. Betsy, portrayed by Sydney Martin, is questioned by authorities over a dead body she discovered, with the deceased's identity currently unknown. Possibilities include Megan, Maggie, Jodie Ramsey, Carl Webster, and Theo Silverton. With Megan set to be exposed as a predator in the month prior to the horror night, could she be the one found dead, or will it be someone else?

Coronation Street airs Mondays to Fridays at 8:30pm on ITV1 or streams from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
