Jordan North Hits Millionaire Status After Capital Breakfast Hosting Role
Jordan North Becomes Millionaire as Capital Host

Radio and television presenter Jordan North has officially entered the ranks of Britain's millionaires, with new financial records revealing the lucrative impact of his high-profile move to Capital's breakfast show.

From Radio One to Capital: A Financial Transformation

Jordan North, the former I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here runner-up and long-time Radio One DJ, took over the coveted Capital Breakfast slot in April 2024. He succeeded Roman Kemp, co-hosting alongside Siân Welby and Chris Stark. The career shift has proven to be exceptionally profitable for the broadcaster.

Accounts recently filed with Companies House for North's production company, Vicious Vera Productions, show a dramatic increase in wealth. The firm, which North established in February 2022 and is registered to an accountancy firm in Wigan, saw its reserves skyrocket from £394,636 to over £1 million in the financial year ending 31 March 2025.

Furthermore, the company's current assets experienced a significant boost, rising from £522,652 to nearly £1.5 million within the same 12-month period. This financial growth is attributed to his Capital role and other ventures, including co-presenting the popular Help I Sexted My Boss podcast with William Hanson.

Contrasting Fortunes: Presenter's Rise vs. Employer's Losses

While North's personal business flourishes, his employer, the media giant Global, has faced substantial financial challenges. Global, which owns Capital, Heart, and LBC, is due to file its latest accounts imminently.

For the previous year ending 31 March 2024, the group reported a pre-tax loss of £120.3 million. This followed another heavy loss of £101.1 million the year before. Cumulatively, Global has lost almost £700 million since it last recorded a pre-tax profit—£25.1 million in the year to 31 March 2018.

Revenue Growth Amidst Losses

Despite these losses, Global's overall revenue showed positive movement. It increased from £806.1 million to £858.1 million in the year to the end of March 2024. A breakdown reveals that audio revenue grew slightly to £432.2 million, while its outdoor advertising sales saw a strong jump from £379.9 million to £425.9 million.

Geographically, UK sales rose to £699.2 million, and European revenue increased significantly to £114.8 million. Revenue in North America saw a minor dip.

The figures highlight a stark contrast: as one of its star presenters builds a personal fortune through his role, the parent company continues to navigate a complex financial landscape, betting on future growth through its revenue streams.
