Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon has definitively confirmed her long-term future on the iconic ITV soap opera, putting to rest any speculation about her departure from the show. The actress, who portrays Bethany Platt on the long-running series, revealed in a recent interview that she has no plans to leave Weatherfield anytime soon.

When questioned about potentially exiting the show, Fallon told The Mirror: "I've done that once before, I don't plan on doing it again." The actress previously left Coronation Street in 2020 before returning to the cobbles in 2023, and she's now making it clear that this time she's here to stay.
"You get periods of time where you're not in — I'm not very busy there at the moment, which has been really nice because I get to spend time with Sonny and Nancy," Fallon explained, referencing her two young children. "But in a few weeks' time, I'm going to be busy again," she promised, teasing an upcoming storyline for her character Bethany Platt.

"They're great, but they're such a handful — especially Sonny at the moment, he's got the terrible twos a little bit late, I'd say!" the actress revealed about her children.
Fallon acknowledged the privilege of having family support, stating: "As they say, it takes a village and luckily, we have a village. I know we're privileged — not everybody gets that luxury. My mum and Ryan's mum help out a lot. We take the help where we can get it!"
Reflecting on the transition from being a mother of one to a mother of two, Fallon said: "I think going from zero to one was easier. I think it's the age gap as well — Sonny was still a baby when I had Nancy, and while it's so lovely and seeing how they interact now, the juggle of having a toddler, a baby and work is quite hard."
When asked about expanding her family further, Fallon was definitive: "Ryan and I don't have any plans to have any more. I'm completely out of that baby stage and I'll never get it back. You grieve that little section of life. I remember when Sonny turned four weeks old, I hysterically sobbed because I was like, 'Oh no, he's a month old, and now he's three!' It goes so quickly — you've just got to enjoy every stage because you'll never get that version of them again."
