Mr Blobby chaos on GMB: Kate Garraway falls off chair

Kate Garraway toppled off her chair after Mr Blobby fell over during a live segment on Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Friday morning. The chaotic moment, which viewers described as 'hilarious', occurred when the pink and yellow spotted character made an appearance on the ITV breakfast show.

Mr Blobby's appearance on GMB

Mr Blobby, who first appeared on the BBC show Noel's House Party in 1992, waddled onto the GMB set to interact with presenters Kate Garraway and Richard Arnold. Richard had been explaining that the costume is up for auction and is 'expected to fetch up to £5,000'.

As Mr Blobby entered, he instantly fell over, prompting Richard to shout 'health and safety'! Speaking in his own special language, the character then sat on Richard's lap before moving over to Kate.

The chaotic moment

Mr Blobby toppled onto his front, bringing Kate down with him as she fell off her chair. Despite the mishap, the I'm A Celebrity star remained in good humour, laughing and telling him: 'Don't worry […] Lean on me, I'm a bit of a blobby myself.'

The scenes of carnage provided entertainment for viewers at home. Elaine on X wrote: 'You just made my morning with Mr Blobby.' Bev H referenced the hot weather, saying: 'I'm considering how much money I'd have to be paid to put that suit on today and it's a lot!' Marc Wilson called Mr Blobby a 'nutcase'.
