Eagle-eyed fans of the hit BBC show The Traitors are convinced a major spoiler for the series four winner has been accidentally revealed, all thanks to a romantic holiday proposal.

During a lavish dinner in Friday night's episode, fitness instructor Jack Butler shared his heartfelt reasons for wanting the prize money. He explained that the last few years had been transformative and that, like many in the UK, he and his girlfriend Kim struggled to get on the property ladder.
With a broad smile, he then made a telling revelation. "I want to be putting a ring on it in a few months' time," he said. "I've got a secret plan, the ring is already sorted so it's a massive surprise." This echoed comments he'd made before the series, where he stated winning would allow him to "take her somewhere nice" to propose.

Further evidence emerged from jewellery brand Durham Rose, which in August shared images of a "dreamy Santorini, sun-kissed yacht" proposal, thanking "J & K" for trusting them with a bespoke ring. The luxurious setting aligns perfectly with Jack's promise of a special, funded proposal.
What This Means for the Final
The nail-biting final of The Traitors is scheduled to air on Friday, January 23, 2026. This social media discovery has led many fans to theorise that a Faithful victory is now "on the cards" for Jack and his allies.
If the theory is correct, it would mean Jack successfully navigated the deceit and betrayal in the Scottish castle to take home the prize fund, subsequently using it to kickstart his future with a romantic engagement. Viewers will have to tune in to see if the clues add up to a triumphant win.
