Recently knighted football legend Sir David Beckham has been caught on camera in a moment of frustration, ripping a parking ticket from the windscreen of his luxury car following an expensive shopping trip in London's West End.
A Costly Trip to Bond Street
The incident occurred on January 18, 2026, after Sir David, 50, and his wife Victoria, 51, visited the prestigious Rolex store on Bond Street. Footage recorded by an onlooker shows the couple returning to their £600,000 Rolls-Royce 4x4 to find the penalty notice waiting for them.
As Victoria settled into the passenger seat, Sir David was seen reaching across the vehicle's bonnet to snatch the ticket from the windscreen. He then got into the driver's seat and drove away, seemingly unperturbed by the fine or keen to avoid a public scene.
Family Estrangement Clouds Glamorous Outing
The shopping excursion took place against a backdrop of reported tension within the Beckham family. Speculation about a rift with their eldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, 26, has been growing for months.
Signs of a feud first emerged when Brooklyn did not attend his father's 50th birthday party in May 2025. The situation appeared to worsen when he reportedly failed to invite his parents to his vow renewal with wife Nicola Peltz in August. Further evidence included Brooklyn covering up a tattoo dedicated to his mother and allegedly blocking his younger brothers, Romeo and Cruz, on social media.
Victoria's Netflix documentary and Brooklyn's absence from her Paris fashion show added to the narrative of a family divide.
A Glimmer of Hope for Reconciliation?
However, a new development has offered a potential hint of thawing relations. A source told the Daily Mail that Brooklyn and Nicola have parted ways with their publicist, Matthew Hiltzik, a crisis specialist who had represented them for only seven months.
"Without that constant briefing war, things may finally cool down," an insider said of the change. This follows reports that Brooklyn had previously sent his parents a legal notice over the Christmas period, instructing them to contact him only through the law firm Schillings.
Despite the estrangement, there have been small gestures. Victoria attempted to reach out by liking a photo of Brooklyn's dinner on Instagram, while Sir David shared an old picture of them together with the caption "I love you all so much."
A source close to the Beckhams revealed they miss Brooklyn "terribly," adding, "Nothing would make David and Victoria happier" than a reconciliation.
