Holly Ramsay, the model daughter of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, has shared intimate details of her spectacular wedding to Olympic champion Adam Peaty, revealing her gown took direct inspiration from two iconic royal styles.
A Dress Fit for a Princess
The couple exchanged vows at the historic Bath Abbey on Saturday, with Holly making a grand entrance down the 65-metre aisle. She wore a breathtaking Elie Saab lace creation, a design she said she became "totally obsessed with" from the very first fitting. The look was completed with a lace veil, a shell-shaped Chanel minaudière, and Amina Muaddi heels—a Christmas gift from Peaty in 2024.
In an exclusive interview with British Vogue, Holly explained her vision. "I knew I needed something long," she said. "I wanted to wear something very traditional and quite modest, with lace. I've always loved Grace Kelly and Kate Middleton's gowns: that beautiful high neckline, super feminine. It makes me feel very princess-like."
A Star-Studded Celebration
The ceremony was attended by a host of famous faces, most notably Sir David Beckham and his wife Victoria, who arrived with three of their children: Romeo, Cruz, and Harper. The bride was escorted by her father, Gordon Ramsay, and followed by her bridal party.
Her sisters, Megan and Tilly Ramsay, served as maids of honour, while Peaty's sister, Bethany, was the bridesmaid. In a stylish coordinated move, all three wore striking red silk maxi dresses designed by family friend Victoria Beckham. Holly carried a bouquet of white ranunculus.
Sentimental Touches and a Family Feast
For the grand reception at Kin House, Holly performed a surprise outfit change, slipping into her mother's own wedding dress from 1996. She made her entrance to the upbeat sounds of ABBA's 'Take A Chance on Me'.
"I've always loved the idea of bringing in mum's dress at some point," Holly shared. "It's beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly – it didn't need any altering." She described the moment as "magic," especially for guests who had also attended her parents' wedding 29 years earlier.
Unsurprisingly, the culinary side of the day was a family affair. Gordon Ramsay played a key role in designing the menu and overseeing the wedding breakfast. As a gift, Holly's parents also arranged a honeymoon for the newlyweds in Mauritius.
Since the wedding, both Holly and Adam have updated their social media handles, incorporating each other's surnames to @hollyramsaypeaty and @AdamRamsayPeaty. The celebration, however, was reportedly shadowed by a family dispute that led to the absence of Adam Peaty's parents, Caroline and Mark, from the ceremony.
