Mahrajan Arabic Music Festival Set for London Debut at Crystal Palace Bowl
The vibrant world of Arab music is poised to take center stage in London this summer with the inaugural Mahrajan festival. Organized by Abu Recordings, this all-day open-air event will unfold at the iconic Crystal Palace Bowl on August 1, 2026. The festival is designed as a grand celebration of Arab culture, aiming to highlight its profound global influence and propel a new wave of musical talent onto the international scene.
Star-Studded Headliners Announced for the Event
Two internationally acclaimed artists have been confirmed as the headline acts for Mahrajan. Saint Levant, the Palestinian singer-songwriter and rapper born Marwan Abdelhamid, is renowned for his multilingual performances blending Arabic, English, and French. His music, which fuses pop, R&B, and hip-hop, has earned him a massive following. He is best known for hits like Very Few Friends and Galbi, and his powerful advocacy for Palestine, including a notable performance at the OVO Arena Wembley in September 2025.
Joining him is Dystinct, the Belgian-Moroccan artist born Iliass Mansouri, whose sound merges hip-hop, Afropop, and R&B. He primarily sings in Darija and French, gaining fame with the 2022 anthem Ghazali, which became synonymous with Morocco's World Cup campaign. His track record includes sold-out shows, such as his October 2025 performance at Egg London, solidifying his status as one of the most-streamed artists in the MENA region and Europe.
Expanding the Cultural and Musical Landscape
Mahrajan represents more than just a concert; it is a cultural movement. By bringing together artists like Saint Levant and Dystinct, the festival seeks to showcase the diversity and richness of Arab music, from traditional influences to modern genres. The event promises to offer attendees an immersive experience, celebrating the artistic contributions of the Arab world through dynamic performances and community engagement.
The full lineup for Mahrajan is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, with tickets already available through major platforms such as Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and See Tickets. This festival marks a significant moment for London's cultural calendar, offering a unique opportunity to experience the global impact of Arab music in a historic outdoor setting.
