Wuthering Heights Love Locks Experience in London

Wuthering Heights Themed Experience Announced for London's South Bank

London's iconic South Bank is set to host a special Wuthering Heights themed experience ahead of the highly anticipated film adaptation's release. The pop-up activation will take place on February 7 and 8, offering Londoners a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Emily Brontë's classic novel.

Celebrating Love with Themed Locks

The experience will centre around a dedicated love lock wall where visitors can pay tribute to their loved ones by adding initialled locks. This interactive element invites participants to engage directly with the romantic themes of the story, creating a personal connection to the narrative.

Located on Queen's Walk along the River Thames, the pop-up will be open from 10am to 6pm on both days, with Waterloo serving as the nearest Tube station for easy access.

Star-Studded Announcement and Film Premiere

The experience was announced by the film's lead actors, Margot Robbie and Jacob Elordi, through a TikTok video shared on the Warner Bros UK account. In the video, the stars describe the activation as an "unforgettable" opportunity to "step into Thrushcross Grange and celebrate your love."

This South Bank event precedes the UK premiere of Emerald Fennell's adaptation, scheduled for February 5 at the Odeon Luxe in Leicester Square. The film's official release follows on February 13.

Expected Attendees and Creative Team

The London premiere is expected to attract numerous celebrities from the film, including:

  • Alison Oliver
  • Hong Chau
  • Shazad Latif
  • Martin Clunes
  • Ewan Mitchell
  • Charlotte Mellington

Director Emerald Fennell will be joined by pop icon Charli XCX, who contributed to the film's soundtrack, adding contemporary musical elements to this classic story.

Cultural Significance and Location

This themed experience represents a creative fusion of literary heritage and modern entertainment, bringing nineteenth-century romance to twenty-first century London. The South Bank location provides a picturesque backdrop along the Thames, enhancing the atmospheric connection to the novel's dramatic Yorkshire moors.

The activation serves as both promotional activity for the new film and a cultural event that allows Londoners to participate in a collective celebration of one of English literature's most enduring love stories.
