Bradley Cooper, 50, 'Seeks Yolanda Hadid's Blessing to Marry Gigi Hadid'
Bradley Cooper Asks for Gigi Hadid's Hand in Marriage

Hollywood actor Bradley Cooper has taken a significant step in his relationship with model Gigi Hadid by reportedly asking her mother, Yolanda Hadid, for her blessing to propose marriage. The 50-year-old star is said to be planning a future with the 30-year-old supermodel, with a potential engagement on the cards for 2026.

A Formal Request for a Future Together

According to a source speaking to the Daily Mail, Cooper approached Yolanda Hadid, the former Real Housewives star and matriarch of the family, to formally request her daughter's hand in marriage. The insider revealed that Cooper wants Yolanda to understand the depth of his commitment to Gigi and his serious intentions to "build a solid family with her in New York."

The report indicates that Cooper has also discussed his plans with his own mother. Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid is allegedly aware that a proposal is being prepared and has spoken about it with her father, Mohamed Hadid. The source suggested that while Yolanda's approval was expected, Gigi informing her father of her desire to marry Cooper marks a "much more official" step for the couple.

From Private Romance to Public Commitment

The pair first sparked romance rumours after being seen together in New York in October 2023. Their relationship has remained relatively private but evidently strong since then. Prior to dating Cooper, Hadid was in a long-term relationship with One Direction singer Zayn Malik from 2015 to 2021. The couple share a daughter, Khai, who is now four years old.

Cooper, for his part, shares an eight-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine, with his ex-partner, supermodel Irina Shayk. The new report suggests the couple are now focused on taking the major step of marriage and raising their children together as a blended family.

Rumours, Rings, and a 'Normal' Romance

Engagement speculation has surrounded the couple before. Earlier in 2025, Hadid fuelled rumours when she was photographed wearing a band on her ring finger during her 30th birthday celebrations.

In a past interview with Vogue, Hadid opened up about her relationship with Cooper, describing it as giving her a "normal experience" of dating. She praised Cooper for introducing her to more cultural activities like theatre-going. Hadid reflected on the challenges of dating in the public eye, stating the importance of knowing what you want and deserve in a partner.

"I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential, and then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve," she told the publication. "You [can] both do work separately to come together and be the best partners that you can be. I just feel really lucky."

Representatives for both Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid have been contacted by Metro for comment on the latest marriage reports.
