After being in development since last summer, the organisers of the aptly named Peckham Farmers' Market have confirmed its official launch. From Saturday, January 24, 2026, the market will take over the grounds of Belham Primary School every week. It will run from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm, providing a weekend destination for fresh food shopping.
The market's ethos centres on natural, seasonal, and ethically farmed goods. Shoppers can expect produce grown without pesticides, alongside a strong commitment to sustainable farming practices. The confirmed vendor list of 25 stalls will offer a diverse range, including grass-fed beef, free-range eggs, and day-boat fish.

The variety on offer is designed to allow locals to complete their entire weekly shop in one visit. Among the confirmed vendors is The French Comté, a stall dedicated to cheese, and Wild Country Organics, a farm from Cambridge bringing over 40 different types of tomato. Another stall will specialise in a range of Mediterranean delicacies.
In a statement on Instagram, the organisers highlighted their mission to break down barriers to accessing high-quality food. They stated: "For too long, high-quality, nutrient-dense produce has felt out of reach… We’re changing that. By removing the traditional intermediaries, we connect you with the people who grow, harvest and catch your food, meaning produce that’s fresher, naturally grown and richer in taste."
