Ronan Keating Reunites Boyzone for BBC New Year's Eve 2025 Special
Boyzone reunite for BBC New Year's Eve party with Ronan Keating

Irish pop star Ronan Keating is set to headline a nostalgic BBC New Year's Eve television special, which will feature a highly-anticipated reunion with his former Boyzone bandmates.

A Star-Studded 90s Celebration

The show, titled 'Ronan & Friends: A New Year's Eve Party', will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on December 31, 2025. Keating, 48, will be joined on stage by fellow Boyzone members Keith Duffy and Shane Lynch for a special performance. This comes ahead of a planned full band stadium show in 2026, their first major reunion since a five-night residency at the London Palladium in 2019.

The legendary boy band, formed in 1993, originally consisted of Keating, Duffy, Lynch, Mikey Graham, and the late Stephen Gately. They achieved massive success with six UK number one singles and five UK number one albums, including classics like 'Words' and 'No Matter What'.

An Eclectic Line-Up of Guests

Keating won't be celebrating alone. The line-up for the evening includes a roster of famous faces from music and television.

Former Eternal singer and solo artist Louise Redknapp will bring her catalogue of hits, such as 'Naked' and '2 Faced', to the party. They will also be joined by singer-songwriter Calum Scott, famed for his ballad 'You Are The Reason'.

Adding a theatrical touch is former EastEnders star Shona McGarty, who is fresh from finishing in third place on the latest series of ITV's I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! in the Australian jungle.

Ring in 2026 with Music and Fireworks

The evening's entertainment will follow a classic format, blending live music performances with the traditional countdown to midnight. Viewers can expect a broadcast of London's iconic firework display over the Thames, followed by further musical celebrations to welcome in the new year.

This special continues the BBC's tradition of hosting musical New Year's Eve events, following Sophie Ellis-Bextor's disco-themed show in 2024. For fans of 90s pop and festive entertainment, 'Ronan & Friends: A New Year's Eve Party' promises to be the must-watch event to see out 2025.
