Peaty and Ramsay Honeymoon Photos After Wedding Drama

Olympic champion Adam Peaty and his new wife Holly Ramsay have shared a series of lavish honeymoon photographs from their getaway to Mauritius, appearing to put recent family drama behind them. The couple, who tied the knot last month in a ceremony at Bath Abbey, posted the images on social media, showcasing their sun-soaked retreat.

Honeymoon Highlights from Mauritius

On Wednesday evening, Adam Peaty gave his over 784,000 Instagram followers a glimpse into their tropical escape, captioning the post: ‘Honeymoon so far featuring palm trees.’ The collection included a black and white shot of the swimmer shirtless on a beach, looking away from the camera. Holly Ramsay featured in a bikini pose at the resort, wearing a Miu Miu hat that retails for approximately £490.

Further snaps showed Adam walking towards the ocean with his back to the camera, while Holly was photographed in a long white knit dress with sandals, strolling to dinner over a pond. True to Adam’s caption, one image looked up at the sky framed by palm trees, and the final photo captured the newlyweds posing together in front of a pool, smiling with their heads turned towards the camera.

Social Media Reactions and Wedding Details

The post attracted warm comments from friends and associates. Their wedding planner, Events by Camilla, wrote: ‘Looks amazing! Hope you’re having the best time x.’ Others, including Tanya and Jen, shared similar sentiments, while Adam’s business partner Ed Baxter joked: ‘Thanks for the invite.’

In an interview with British Vogue published after the wedding, Holly revealed that the Mauritius trip was a gift from her parents, Gordon and Tana Ramsay. She explained, ‘We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents,’ adding humorously, ‘I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool…’

Behind the Wedding Drama

The couple’s wedding, which hosted over 200 guests including Sir David and Victoria Beckham, was overshadowed by family tensions. Reports emerged that Adam had uninvited his mother, Caroline, and several other family members from the nuptials. Sources close to the swimmer suggested he had been ‘changed by money, fame and fortune,’ sparking rumours of a feud.

Further complications arose when Adam’s brother, James, was arrested on suspicion of harassment following the stag do in Budapest. Adam later released a statement addressing ‘challenging times’ and urging people to remember that there are ‘two sides to every story.’ His great aunt and uncle were allegedly ‘brutally’ uninvited via an automated message just days before the wedding.

Adam’s older sister, Bethany, who served as one of Holly’s three Maids of Honour, was the only immediate Peaty family member to attend the ceremony.

Holly’s Wedding Attire and Emotional Tributes

Speaking to Vogue, Holly detailed her wedding dress choices, which included an Elie Saab gown with an intricate lace veil and Amina Muaddi heels. She chose the dramatic gown to complement Bath Abbey’s 65-metre aisle, saying she knew she ‘needed something long’ to make an impact.

Holly also wore a ‘short and fun’ second Saab dress and paid tribute to her mother by donning Tana Ramsay’s wedding gown from 1996. ‘I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in mum’s dress at some point,’ she said. ‘It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly – it didn’t need any altering.’

Holly noted that her mother teared up seeing her in the dress, while her father, Gordon Ramsay, ‘cries every time’ she speaks about the wedding.

Despite the pre-wedding controversies, the newlyweds now seem focused on enjoying their honeymoon, sharing idyllic moments from Mauritius as they begin their married life together.
