Pussycat Dolls Reunite for 2026 Tour with Three Original Members
Pussycat Dolls Reunite for 2026 Tour with Three Members

In a highly anticipated move for pop music enthusiasts, the iconic girl group the Pussycat Dolls are set to reunite for a comeback tour in 2026. However, this revival will feature only three of the six original members, marking a significant shift from their previous lineup.

A Selective Reunion

According to reports from The Sun, the reunion will include Nicole Scherzinger, Ashley Roberts, and Kimberly Wyatt. This trio is reportedly planning the tour after a previous attempt in 2020 was derailed by the Covid-19 pandemic and internal disagreements. A source close to the group revealed, "Nicole and the girls have been talking about getting Pussycat Dolls back together for months now. Covid scuppered the original plan and then disagreements behind the scenes meant it all fell apart. But Nicole, Ashley, and Kimberly are a solid unit and they're raring to go."

Past Conflicts and Legal Issues

The group's history has been marred by conflicts, particularly between Nicole Scherzinger and band founder Robin Antin over creative control. These disputes even escalated to the point where legal action was considered. In 2020, Nicole announced the cancellation of shows via Instagram, which reportedly blindsided other bandmembers. Carmit Bachar and Jessica Sutta issued a statement at the time, noting there was "no official notification" of the tour being axed and describing the situation as "out of our control."

Despite these past tensions, rumours of a reunion began circulating in November, with sources indicating that the members have resolved their issues. Kimberly Wyatt has been open about the group sorting out their differences, telling friends they've been discussing a tour. "The Pussycat Dolls certainly had their differences over the years, but a comeback would send fans wild," a source added.

Legacy and Solo Careers

The Pussycat Dolls, originally a dance troupe, rose to fame with their debut album "PCD" in 2005, featuring hits like "Don't Cha" and "Buttons." Their second album, "Doll Domination," followed in 2008, producing more chart-toppers such as "I Hate This Part" and "When I Grow Up." Despite releasing only two albums, the group sold over 55 million records worldwide before disbanding in 2010 after a world tour.

Since the split, the members have pursued diverse solo careers. Nicole Scherzinger recently won her first Tony Award for her role as Norma Desmond in the "Sunset Blvd" revival. Kimberly Wyatt has become a presenter for Hits Radio and served as a judge on "Got To Dance," while Ashley Roberts is a radio presenter for Heart and has appeared on reality shows like "I'm A Celebrity."

Looking Ahead

The trio is due to meet in London to finalise details for the tour, which is expected to be announced in the coming weeks. Nicole hinted at the reunion in December with a cryptic Instagram post, sharing an old video of the group performing and captioning it, "For the PCD fans. For the memories. For what's to come." This tour represents a new chapter for the Pussycat Dolls, blending nostalgia with a fresh dynamic as they aim to captivate audiences once again.
