Make That Movie

10pm, Channel 4. Created and written by Sam Campbell, the breakout star of Last One Laughing, and directed by Joe Pelling of Don't Hug Me I'm Scared fame, this new comedy follows a director who transforms ordinary people's movie ideas into reality. The result is inevitably absurdist fun. First up is Mick, who pitches a story about a man and a woman who can turn into snakes. This leads to real snake auditions, a creepy intimacy coordinator named Sebastian, and a great pan pipe theme tune. Hollie Richardson

George Clarke's Beautiful Builds

8pm, Channel 4. Architect George Clarke and garden designer Luke Millard return with a series that helps people achieve their ambitious renovation dreams. This time, they are in Bromley with couple Mitch and Elliot, who are experienced renovators. However, panic ensues when a house flood threatens to ruin their plans for a curve-arched kitchen. HR

Putin: In Ten Pictures

9pm, BBC Two. The return of the documentary series that explores the lives of notable people begins with a look at Vladimir Putin. Observers and exiled former insiders psychoanalyse Russia's tyrannical president using 10 key photographs. Putin is described as an overlooked weakling who vowed to change how the world saw him. Everything else has been one long PR stunt. Jack Seale

The Hardacres

9pm, Channel 5. Mary's new joy at being a teacher is cut short by Sam's collapse, and the house is now put in quarantine due to fear that he has caught the deadly Russian flu. However, some staff are reluctant to pause their duties. As the symptoms worsen, Lady Imelda sees an opportunity. A perfect dose of period drama. HR

Film Choice

One to One: John & Yoko (Kevin Macdonald and Sam Rice-Edwards, 2024), 9pm, Sky Documentaries. This sign-of-the-times documentary covers 18 months in the lives of John Lennon and Yoko Ono after they moved to New York in 1971. It is a riveting snapshot of a febrile period in US history (Vietnam, Nixon, etc.). Pivoting around a benefit gig the ex-Beatle organised for institutionalised mentally ill children, it mixes home movies, contemporary TV footage, and remarkable private phone calls to follow the couple as they dip their toes in political causes, fashion, and a new life away from Britain. Simon Wardell

Live Sport
