Fans of The Wanted singer Tom Parker have been deeply moved by an emotional tribute shared by his widow, Kelsey Parker, marking four years since his tragic death. The pop star passed away at just 33 years old after battling an inoperable brain tumour, leaving behind his wife and their two young children.
A Life Cut Short by Aggressive Cancer
Tom Parker was diagnosed with glioblastoma in October 2020, which is recognized as the most common yet most aggressive form of brain cancer with a very poor survival prognosis. Despite announcing in November 2021 that his tumour was stable following his latest scan, Parker's health deteriorated rapidly thereafter. He ultimately died from complications while receiving hospice care in London, devastating fans worldwide who had followed his career since The Wanted's rise to fame with hits like "Glad You Came."
Kelsey's Poignant Anniversary Message
To commemorate the fourth anniversary of her husband's passing, Kelsey Parker shared a precious compilation video featuring intimate home footage. The video showed Tom dancing with Kelsey on their wedding day, playing guitar while singing "Wonderwall," and spending cherished moments with their children. In her accompanying caption, Kelsey expressed profound grief and longing, writing directly to her late husband.
"Dear Tom, my Papi ... It's been 4 years... 4 whole years without you. Words can't even explain how much I miss you," she began. "I wish we could have just one more day... To laugh, to sing, to gossip, to be together. To party together. To put the world to rights like we used to at ridiculous o'clock. To talk before bed... to be parents together."
Parenting Without Their Father
Kelsey poignantly noted the unfairness of time stolen from their family, emphasizing that Tom only had two and a half years of being a father to their children. Their daughter Aurelia, now six years old, was just two when her father died, while their son Bodhi, now four, was born only five months before Parker's passing.
"I wish you had more time with your babies... Time that was taken far too soon," Kelsey wrote. "You only got two and a half years of being a Dad, and life just feels so unfair." She described Aurelia as Tom's "double" in many ways, calling her "strong, funny, and fierce," and noted that Bodhi has grown into "the most beautiful, kindest soul" who loves football and animals.
Navigating Grief and New Relationships
Since Parker's death, Kelsey has been remarkably open about her grieving process, becoming an author and motivational speaker while consistently keeping her husband's memory alive through social media. She briefly dated electrician Sean Boggans before their split in April 2023, and later began a relationship with tree surgeon Will Lindsay in September 2024.
Tragically, Kelsey experienced another devastating loss when she announced in June 2025 that her third child, Phoenix Parker-Lindsay, was stillborn just one week before her due date. In her tribute to Tom, she noted that he is "up there looking after [her] baby boy," connecting the two profound losses in her life.
Fan Support and Legacy
Kelsey's tribute quickly garnered overwhelming support from Parker's devoted fanbase, with countless messages flooding her comments section. Fans expressed how much they still miss the singer and appreciate Kelsey for continuing to share Tom's memory with the world.
"Even as 'just a fan' I still think of him now, he really touched people's lives in such a way he'll never be forgotten," wrote one supporter. Another commented, "He is so missed. He was the most genuine soul. 4 years later and it still feels so raw."
Redefining Widowhood
In previous interviews, Kelsey has spoken candidly about refusing to conform to societal expectations of widowhood. "If there is a grief handbook, please hand it to me! I'm just doing what feels best for me, and I'm just being Kelsey," she told Metro, praising Parker's fans for their ongoing support.
She addressed questions about guilt directly, stating, "I get asked if I feel guilty, but it's like, guilty for living? No, because I'm the one still here. I have to live my life now. As a nation, we think that I should be in mourning, but that's not life, and life has to continue."
Kelsey concluded her tribute with a heartfelt promise: "Thank you for the signs, for the messages... please never stop. You were truly one of a kind, Tom Parker. There will never be another like you. I can't wait to meet you again in our next lifetime, my love."
