A 20-year-old man has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of a 15-year-old boy in North London last week. The victim has been named as Adam John Henry, who was attacked on Westbourne Road in Islington.
Details of the Islington Stabbing
Emergency services were called to Westbourne Road at approximately 1:02 pm on Tuesday, 9 December. Police officers, the London Ambulance Service, and London's Air Ambulance all attended the scene.
Adam John Henry was treated for serious stab wounds but, despite the efforts of medical teams, he was later pronounced dead in hospital. His family are now being supported by specialist police officers.
Suspect Charged and Remanded
On Monday, 15 December, detectives charged Tsidi Winion, aged 20, of Camden, North London, with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.
Winion was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court on Tuesday, 16 December.
Ongoing Murder Investigation
Detectives from the Metropolitan Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Adam's death. The investigation is being led by Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo.
DCI Bhangoo stated: "Our thoughts remain with Adam's family at this incredibly difficult time. While a man has now been charged, our investigation continues, and we urge anyone with information who has not yet spoken to us to contact police."
