Officers were called to Catherine Gardens in Thorpe St Andrew, just outside Norwich, at approximately 11.45pm on Saturday night. The call came following reports that a woman had been injured in the street. Arrest Made on Sunday Morning

The investigation moved swiftly, leading to an arrest on Sunday morning. A man, believed to be in his 60s, was detained by police on Dereham Road in Norwich. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody for questioning.

Norfolk Constabulary has confirmed that forensic investigations are ongoing at two key locations. Police seals are in place at Catherine Gardens, where the woman was found, and on Dereham Road, where the arrest was made.
