Officers were dispatched to an address on Richmond Street at approximately 5am on Saturday 24th January 2026 after receiving reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they discovered a man with a leg injury that authorities described as being "consistent with a gunshot wound."

Condition of the Injured Man

The victim was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Police have stated that while the injuries are serious, they are not believed to be life-threatening at this time.

Arrests and Firearm Recovery

In connection with the incident, six men ranging in age from 23 to 26 years old have been taken into custody. They were arrested on suspicion of affray and various firearms offences. All six individuals remain in police custody as questioning continues.
