A man in his 40s has sustained potentially life-changing injuries following a double stabbing incident in Bromley on Monday night. The violent attack occurred in Five Oak Mews, a gated residential area near Ballamore Road in the Downham area, close to Grove Park station, shortly before 9:55 PM.
Emergency Response and Victim Details
Police and paramedics were swiftly dispatched to the scene after receiving urgent calls. The London Ambulance Service confirmed that they were alerted at 9:54 PM and responded with two ambulance crews, a paramedic in a fast response car, and an incident response officer. The first paramedic arrived in under four minutes, demonstrating a rapid emergency response.
Two victims were treated at the scene for stab wounds before being transported to hospital. The man in his 40s suffered severe injuries described as potentially life-altering, while a second victim, a man in his 30s, sustained minor injuries, according to a statement from the Metropolitan Police.
Arrest and Investigation
Investigators established a cordon around the area to conduct their work. In connection with the incident, officers have arrested a 36-year-old man on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and criminal damage.
