The identity of a young man who was fatally stabbed in Croydon over the weekend has been revealed as Lorik Abazi, a 22-year-old local resident described by his family as a "caring, smart young man with a good sense of humour." The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 15, at approximately 1:15 am on Hesterman Way.
Police Investigation Leads to Multiple Arrests
In response to the stabbing, Metropolitan Police have launched a comprehensive murder investigation, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals. The arrests include two women aged 25, one of whom has been bailed, and a 28-year-old man, all taken into custody on suspicion of murder on Sunday afternoon.
Additionally, two 21-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of affray. One of these men sustained potentially life-threatening injuries and remains hospitalized, while the other has been discharged from medical care and taken into police custody.
