Brentford Mum Sheds 4.5 Stone, Lands Slimming World Consultant Role
Mum loses 4.5 stone, becomes Slimming World Consultant

A Brentford mother has transformed her life and her career after an incredible weight loss journey with Slimming World. Charlotte Felix, a full-time carer for two of her four children who have additional needs, has shed an impressive four and a half stone and has now been trained to help others as a Slimming World Consultant.

From Member to Mentor: A Journey of Support

Charlotte's journey began in March of this year when she joined the Slimming World group in Brentford. At the time, she weighed over 15 stone. The demands of caring for her family had taken priority, leading to weight gain as she admits to "eating her feelings." A birthday resolution sparked a change, filling her with new motivation to prioritise her own health.

The weekly support from her consultant and fellow group members proved pivotal. "I couldn’t have lost the weight without the weekly help, encouragement and understanding," Charlotte states. Her dedication was so remarkable that her group nominated and voted for her as their Woman of the Year and a 2025 Icon.

Launching a New, Flexible Career

Inspired by her own success, Charlotte recently completed her training at Slimming World's national training academy in Derbyshire. She officially launched as the new consultant for the Brentford group at the start of January. For Charlotte, this new role is the perfect fit, allowing her to earn a living while maintaining the flexibility needed for her caring responsibilities.

"When I first joined Slimming World as a member, I never dreamed that I would end up helping other people to lose weight," she said. "After reaching my target weight and completing my training, it’s a privilege for me to be able to pass on the experience, insight and understanding that helped me."

A Plan That Feels Different

Charlotte emphasises that previous attempts at dieting left her feeling restricted and destined to struggle. Her experience with Slimming World was fundamentally different. "I never felt like I was on a diet," she explains. "The eating plan encourages you to eat lots of tasty, filling foods like pasta, rice, potatoes and lean meat and fish, you’re never hungry."

She also highlights the importance of the organisation's holistic approach, which includes a physical activity support programme focused on building movement into daily life, from walking to Zumba classes.

Charlotte’s Slimming World group meets every Monday at 5.30pm at the Inverness Lodge, 9 Boston Manor Road, Brentford. Due to high demand, an additional session at 7pm will begin on 26th January. Those interested can join on a Monday or contact Charlotte directly on 07724 574361.
