Coronation Street Shocker: Theo's Killer Revealed at Dinner Party
Coronation Street: Theo's Killer Revealed at Dinner Party

A shocking night changes everything as Theo's killer is revealed in Coronation Street. Is Sarah Platt having an affair with her ex-boyfriend Gary Windass? Who killed Theo Silverton? The truth is about to be spilled when, by the end of a truly heinous dinner party, we'll learn the answer to both questions.

As the abuser lay dead on the cobbles, Gary, George Shuttleworth, Christina Boyd, Summer Spellman, Danielle Silverton, and Todd Grimshaw, the victim of Theo's sick abuse, all became suspects. On the same night, Sarah was brutally attacked by Jodie Ramsey to stop her from telling everyone about the bunny-boiler's attempts to seduce David Platt.

Meanwhile, Gary was at the builder's yard having some 'quality time' with his wife Maria Connor. At least, that's what Maria told DS Kit Green, the investigating officer who just so happens to be Sarah's boyfriend. This turned out to be a false alibi to secure Gary's release from custody after he was caught deleting incriminating footage of himself smashing Theo's work van with a sledgehammer. Maria covered for Gary because she firmly believed he didn't kill his monstrous ex-employee. But this begs the question, if Gary wasn't killing Theo that night, what was he doing… and who was he with?

The popular fan theory is that the bad boy builder is sparking up an affair with his old flame Sarah, and there's certainly evidence to prove it. The pair have been looking pretty cosy recently with plenty of private conversations, and Gary practically bit Maria's head off for criticising Sarah. It's not just a fan theory. Even Maria has started to grow suspicious. After catching Sarah and Gary share a close hug, she's determined to catch them out… and she might just get her chance during a dinner party at Kit and Sarah's flat, in upcoming Coronation Street episodes.

With Kit mulling popping the question to Sarah, it's sure to be a party to remember in more ways than one. The episode kicks off with a flashforward – the remnants of a dinner party from Hell. Broken glass, a chair upended and blood splattered across the table cloth. What happened here? We then rewind as Kit reminds Sarah about their date night and suggests they go food shopping at lunchtime, but when Kit receives a text from Sarah cancelling their lunchtime trip, Brody Michaelis doesn't ease him that Sarah's had a better offer.

Maria overhears this and her already-paranoid mind goes into overdrive. Spotting Sarah leaving the builders yard, Kit eyes his love with deep suspicion, clearly as unsettled as Maria. In the Rovers, Sarah invites Todd and Summer to join her and Kit for dinner and, in retaliation, after he spots her whispering to Gary, Kit suggests Gary and Maria might like to join them also. Gary and Sarah freeze whilst Maria accepts his invitation. What does Kit have in store?

You could cut the tension with a knife as Todd, Summer, Gary and Maria arrive for the dinner party, and Maria can't resist aiming some catty comments at Sarah. Kit, meanwhile, does his best to get Gary on his own, making pointed remarks about everyone's motive to lie. With the party rapidly spinning out of control, Kit serves up the main course, but as Maria begins a vitriolic toast to the hosts, she then announces that Gary and Sarah have been having an affair for weeks.

As we tumble into flashbacks, Theo's murderer is finally unmasked, but with more than one party guest at the table with a motive, who did kill Theo? And what's more, how does the evening end with blood splattered across the table?
