Throughout the week, Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) have been determined to catch the culprit, but they have been looking in the wrong direction.
Suspects Investigated
Among the potential suspects was Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah). Aaron noticed Kammy arriving late to work at the garage and realized that little is known about him. However, viewers will learn next week that Kammy's suspicious behavior stems from being homeless and sleeping on the farm, not from starting fires.
Another suspect, Kev Townsend (Chris Coghill), is set to return to the village but will be ruled out in tonight's episode as he is currently in prison. Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Sam Dingle (James Hooton) were also considered, but their shifty behavior is due to other secrets.
Accidental Revelation
In today's episode, available on ITVX, the arsonist strikes again at Emmerdale Farm. While the episode does not reveal the culprit, the end credits list the actors in order of appearance. Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) appears first, confirming he is the firestarter. This accidental leak has shocked fans.
Kyle has a motive for revenge: Robert and Aaron moved into Butler's Farm, forcing Kyle and his family to leave. With Kyle undetected so far, it remains to be seen how long it will take for someone to uncover the truth.
