Epstein Files Release: Key Figures Named from Melania Trump to Bill Gates
It has been three days since the United States Justice Department released nearly three million additional files concerning the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and the global community continues to analyse the extensive documentation. This latest cache includes over three million pages, two thousand videos, and approximately one hundred and eighty thousand images related to the disgraced financier. Supplementary materials encompass FBI tips, detailed call logs, wire transfer confirmations, private jet itineraries, and paperwork regarding children's school enrolment.
Names of renowned businessmen, members of royalty, and prominent politicians have surfaced in this recent disclosure. Below is a comprehensive overview of what is currently known about each individual mentioned.
Melania Trump
The First Lady of the United States appears to be referenced in the latest batch of files through an email that seems to discuss Ghislaine Maxwell. In October 2002, a woman identified as Melania wrote: 'Dear G, how are you? Nice story about JE (Jeffrey Epstein) in NY Mag. You look great in the picture.'
Donald Trump
The US President has persistently denied any misconduct or awareness of Epstein's criminal activities, yet his name is also cited in the recent documents. According to reports from the Telegraph, one document published last Friday contained unverified allegations that a girl aged thirteen or fourteen was coerced into performing oral sex on Trump decades ago. Notably, files containing Trump's name, including the child sex abuse claim, were temporarily removed from the Department of Justice website hours after publication, though they were subsequently restored.
The Department of Justice issued a statement clarifying: 'To be clear, the claims are unfounded and false, and if they had any credibility, they would undoubtedly have been weaponised against President Trump already.' A separate document features an anonymous individual accusing the US leader of participating in 'orgy parties'.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor
Disturbing photographs released as part of the latest Epstein files appear to depict Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor crouched on all fours over a woman. The three images show a man believed to be the disgraced former duke looming over the woman, who is lying sprawled on the floor. Andrew has faced allegations, which he vehemently denies, of sexually assaulting a teenage Virginia Giuffre after she was trafficked by Epstein. In 2022, he paid millions to Ms Giuffre, whom he claims never to have met, to settle a civil sexual assault claim.
Sarah Ferguson
A damning email within the latest files reveals that Sarah Ferguson, the ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, 'proposed' to Epstein. Ferguson wrote to Epstein: 'You are a legend. I really don't have the words to describe my love and gratitude for your generosity and kindness. Xx I am at your service. Just marry me.' Another email to Epstein in 2009 saw Ferguson refer to him as 'the brother I have always wished for' and express that she was 'so proud' of him.
Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice
Just months after Epstein's release from prison in 2009, Sarah Ferguson allegedly visited him in Miami with her two daughters, who were then aged twenty-one and nineteen. The files released last week also appear to include images of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, sent to Epstein by their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The photographs were transmitted when Eugenie was approximately twenty-one or twenty-two and Beatrice was around twenty-three or twenty-four. It is crucial to note that inclusion in the Epstein files does not indicate any criminal wrongdoing.
Elon Musk
Elon Musk, the Tesla CEO and former de facto head of the Department of Government Efficiency under Donald Trump, invited Epstein to attend one of the 'wildest parties' on Epstein Island in 2012. This occurred merely three years after the disgraced financier was released from prison for soliciting prostitution from a minor. Musk wrote: 'Probably just Talulah and me. What day/night will be the wildest party on =our [SIC] island?' At the time of these emails, he was married to actress Talulah Riley. In December 2013, he also inquired: 'Will be in the BVI/St Bart's area over the holidays. Is there a good time to visit?' Epstein responded: 'Always space for you.'
Musk stated yesterday that he had been 'well aware that some email correspondence with him could be misinterpreted and used by detractors to smear my name.' He added: 'No one pushed harder than me to have the Epstein files released and I'm glad that has finally happened. I had very little correspondence with Epstein and declined repeated invitations to go to his island or fly on his "Lolita Express".'
Richard Branson
When the initial trove of files was released last December, Sir Richard Branson was photographed posing with Epstein, with two women in the background. The latest documents unveil an email exchange between the Virgin CEO and Epstein, in which Branson remarked it was 'nice seeing you'. He then extended an invitation for Epstein to visit again, adding: 'as long as you bring your harem!'
A Virgin Group spokesperson clarified: 'Any contact Richard and Joan Branson had with Epstein took place on only a few occasions more than twelve years ago, and was limited to group or business settings, such as a charity tennis event. When Epstein offered a charity donation, the Bransons asked their team to carry out due diligence before accepting the donation, which uncovered serious allegations. As a result, Virgin Unite did not take the donation, and Richard and Joan decided not to meet or speak with Epstein again. Had they had the full picture and information, there would have been no contact whatsoever – Richard believes that Epstein's actions were abhorrent and supports the right to justice for his many victims.'
Bill Clinton
Bill Clinton has been previously mentioned in the Epstein files and has consistently denied any knowledge of the paedophile's crimes and misconduct. The latest release of files reveals additional photographs of Clinton and Epstein inside Epstein's residence.
The Norwegian Crown Princess
The Crown Princess of Norway, Princess Mette-Marit, exchanged dozens of emails with Epstein, despite allegedly being aware of his jail sentence. In 2012, Epstein emailed Mette-Marit stating he was going 'wife hunting' in Paris. Mette-Marit replied: 'Paris good for adultery. Scandis better wife material.' She has since apologised, asserting she would not have contacted him had she known about his criminal charges. However, an email from 2011 shows she wrote to Epstein: 'Googled u after last email. Agree didn't look too good.'
Brett Ratner, Director of 'Melania'
Brett Ratner, the director of 'Melania', a film that followed the First Lady during Donald Trump's 2024 re-election campaign, was also pictured with Epstein in the latest files release. In 2017, Warner Bros severed ties with Ratner following allegations of sexual assault and harassment from six women.
Howard Lutnick, Trump's Commerce Secretary
Howard Lutnick, Trump's selection for Commerce Secretary, was found to have emailed Epstein multiple times and planned a visit to his island in 2012. It remains unclear whether that visit ever occurred, but Lutnick previously admitted that he and his wife were invited to Epstein's house. A spokesperson for Lutnick has emphasised that he had 'limited interactions' with the disgraced paedophile and has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
