Katie Price has denied reports that her husband, Lee Andrews, was arrested at Dubai airport while attempting to travel to the UK for a live television interview. The reality star appeared on Good Morning Britain (GMB) on Tuesday without her spouse, prompting speculation about his whereabouts.
Missed Flight, Not Arrest
Price, 47, insisted that Andrews simply missed his flight due to last-minute business commitments. She told hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid that he is now en route to the UK. 'He just didn't make the flight,' she explained. 'He's coming over to spend quite a few months now, so he's been sorting out my visa, my international driving license, and he was flying from Muscat.'
Foreign Office Involvement
The confusion arose after GMB contacted the UK Foreign Office to inquire about a possible travel ban for Andrews. The Foreign Office responded that they had 'supported a British man who was detained in the United Arab Emirates.' However, Price rejected the implication that this referred to her husband.
'He's just done a voicenote back with laughing emojis saying, "No, it's not me,"' she revealed. 'And he's just sent me pictures; he's now at the airport and is on his way.'
Video Evidence
Earlier, GMB aired a video of Andrews at Dubai airport the previous night, promising to attend the interview. But Price claimed he had 'things to do' and missed the flight. She lamented that they had prepared for the interview but plans fell through.
Price and Andrews married five months ago. This incident comes amid other recent headlines for the couple, including claims that Andrews said Price needs corrective surgery after a botched procedure.
Metro has contacted the Foreign Office for further comment. This is a developing story.
