Abbey Wood Community in Shock After Suspected Targeted Car Attack on Woman
A south-east London community has been left deeply shaken and horrified after a young woman was violently struck by a speeding car in what multiple witnesses have described as a deliberate targeted attack. The incident, which occurred on Harrow Manorway in Abbey Wood, has sparked widespread concern and an urgent police investigation.
Violent Collision Captured on Footage
The woman, who is in her 20s, was hit with such tremendous force that she was thrown across the road as she attempted to enter a parked vehicle. Disturbing footage of the incident shows a red car swinging sharply around a corner before veering directly towards the victim. The vehicle rammed into her from behind and continued driving without braking, leaving residents who witnessed the event to believe the driver's actions were intentional.
Residents who rushed to the woman's aid immediately after the collision have expressed their shock and suspicion. One local told the Daily Mail, "That poor woman looks like she was targeted. It's appalling. The driver did not stop. How on earth did that happen? The whole street is in shock. It's full of families and children."

The Metropolitan Police has confirmed that an investigation is actively underway to identify the driver responsible for this alarming incident. Police attended the scene after being called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 6:30 PM on Sunday, March 8.
In an official statement, the Met said, "We realise the concern this incident will cause the local community and want to reassure that detectives are working at pace to identify the suspect. A London Ambulance Service spokesperson detailed their response, stating, "We were called at around 4:30 PM on Sunday to reports of a road traffic collision. We sent an ambulance crew, an incident response officer, and a paramedic in a fast response car to the scene. Our first crews arrived in less than five minutes. We treated a woman at the scene and took her to hospital as a priority."
