A man has been formally charged following a terrifying triple stabbing that sent shockwaves through the West London community of Uxbridge.
The violent incident unfolded on Windsor Street, a bustling thoroughfare in the heart of the town centre, prompting an immediate emergency response from the Metropolitan Police.
Emergency Response to Town Centre Violence
Officers were called to the scene shortly after 1:30pm on Saturday afternoon following multiple reports of a violent disturbance. Upon arrival, they discovered three individuals suffering from stab wounds, all of whom required urgent medical attention.
London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the location, providing critical care at the scene before transporting the victims to hospital for further treatment. While their injuries were described as significant, authorities have confirmed that none are believed to be life-threatening.
Suspect Charged and Remanded
Police have confirmed that 25-year-old Daniel Duda of no fixed address has been charged with three counts of grievous bodily harm with intent in connection with the attack.
The accused appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on Monday, where he was remanded in custody awaiting his next court appearance. The swift charging of the suspect has brought some measure of relief to local residents shaken by the daylight violence.
Community Impact and Police Reassurance
The stabbing has raised concerns among local business owners and residents about safety in the town centre, particularly given the timing of the attack during daytime hours when the area is typically busy with shoppers and families.
Detective Sergeant Matt Webb from the Metropolitan Police sought to reassure the public, stating: "This was a frightening incident for those who witnessed it, and we're providing support to the victims as they recover from their injuries."
He added: "We understand the concern such incidents cause in the community, and we have increased patrols in the area to provide reassurance."
Police continue to appeal for any witnesses who haven't yet come forward to contact them with information that might assist their investigation.
