Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon) finally faces her day in court, and there's no way she can escape Coronation Street justice. The evil sex abuser, who coerced schoolboy Will Driscoll into a sexually abusive relationship and targeted another young lad, Lee (Oscar Aldersley), now stands trial. Her psychological warfare against Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) further cemented her villainy.
Will's brave testimony
With Will still under Megan's thrall, police lacked solid evidence. Megan planned to escape to Paris, leaving Will behind. But Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine), who understood Will's ordeal, convinced him to report Megan. Will bravely reported her to the police for sexual abuse of a minor. However, Megan's manipulations continue as step-sister Susie (Aurora Bradshaw) finds her contact details on Will's game console. Grandma Maggie (Pauline McLynn) and brother Ollie (Raphael Akuwudike) warn him.
Janine's interference
Next week, Janine (Melissa Jacques), Megan's mother, arrives apologizing for her daughter's behavior. Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) orders her out of the Rover's, but Janine believes Megan's version—that Will took advantage of her. She approaches Will directly, attempting to sway him. The trial gets underway with a conflicted Will taking the stand after his pre-recorded statement is played. He faces Megan's stare and an aggressive barrister, while Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) attacks Ben on the stand.
Sam seeks closure
At the hospital, Sam is determined to attend Megan's trial, hoping for closure. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) worry about the impact on him. By the end of the week, all evidence is heard, and the jury must decide Megan's fate.
