A 12-year-old boy has been formally charged with sexual assault and wounding after a woman in her 60s was discovered with serious injuries at a Birmingham address. The incident occurred on Wednesday, March 18, shortly before 6:15 PM, according to West Midlands Police authorities.
Victim Hospitalized in Serious Condition
The woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found at the Birmingham location and immediately transported to a medical facility. Police confirmed she remains hospitalized in serious condition as investigations continue into the circumstances surrounding her injuries.
The juvenile suspect, who cannot be legally named due to his age, was arrested following the discovery and has since been charged with both wounding and sexual assault related to this specific incident.
