Police are conducting an urgent manhunt after a woman was found with multiple stab wounds in South London this morning.

Attack on Brighton Road

Officers were called to Brighton Road in South Croydon at 8:37am on Sunday, 11 January 2026, following reports of a violent assault. Upon arrival, they discovered a woman who had suffered several stab injuries.

Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service provided immediate critical care at the location before rushing the victim to a nearby hospital. Her condition is currently described as stable, though authorities are awaiting a fuller medical update.

Crime Scene Established and Witness Appeal

The area of the attack, close to the South Croydon bus garage, has been sealed behind a police cordon. A crime scene will remain in place for the rest of the day as forensic teams gather evidence.

Initial photos from the scene show at least two marked police vehicles stationed outside a residential address. An eyewitness posting on social media platform X reported seeing a significant emergency service presence, including up to seven police cars and two ambulances with blue lights flashing.
