Five arrested in North London over fatal stabbing of boy, 15

Police have made five arrests during a raid on a North West London property as part of the investigation into the fatal stabbing of 15-year-old Adam Henry in Islington earlier this month.

Boxing Day Arrests Following Intensive Manhunt

The Metropolitan Police confirmed that a key development occurred on Boxing Day, 26 December. Detectives located and arrested 22-year-old Abdel Dedour after a two-week search and public appeal for information.

During the operation at the address, four other individuals were detained. Three men and a woman, aged between 18 and 47, were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. The exact location of the property has not been disclosed by authorities.

Further arrests were made at the scene. The 47-year-old woman was additionally arrested for assault on a police officer. One of the men, aged 39, was also arrested for domestic violence and driving offences. All five suspects remained in police custody as of Saturday afternoon, 27 December.

A Tragic Loss on a Residential Street

The arrests follow the tragic death of Adam Henry. The teenager was fatally stabbed on Westbourne Road in Islington at approximately 1pm on Monday, 9 December.

Emergency services, including paramedics from the London Ambulance Service, rushed to the scene. Adam was transferred to hospital but sadly died from his injuries. His family are being supported by specialist police officers.

In a heartfelt written statement, Adam's family described their son as a 'loving son, brother, nephew, grandson, friend' and said they would never recover from the 'senseless tragedy'. They remembered him as 'good natured and loyal' with a cheeky sense of humour.

Investigation Continues as Police Vow to Secure Justice

Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo, leading the investigation, stated: "Our thoughts remain with Adam’s loved ones throughout this unimaginably difficult time. There is no place for senseless acts of violence on our streets."

He praised his team's tireless work, noting that Dedour had tried many ways to evade capture before the arrest. "Thanks to the efforts of officers, we are now one step closer to securing justice," DCI Bhangoo added.

The investigation remains ongoing. Tsidi Winion, 20, of Handyside Street, Camden, was previously charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon on Monday, 15 December.

Police are continuing to appeal for information. Anyone with details relating to the incident is asked to call 101, quoting reference 3568/09DEC. Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
