Police have launched a murder investigation following the fatal stabbing of a man in the Maida Vale area of West London. The victim, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene on Friday night, with the perpetrator still at large.

The incident occurred at Tollgate House on Tollgate Gardens. Emergency services were called at approximately 9.40pm on Friday, December 19, 2025. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man was pronounced dead at the location. No arrests have been made, meaning the individual responsible for the killing remains on the loose.

Detective Chief Inspector Matthew Denby, who is leading the investigation, expressed his condolences to the victim's family. "My thoughts are with the victim’s family at this unimaginably difficult time," he stated.

He confirmed that the investigation is progressing rapidly to establish the full circumstances. Police are urgently appealing to the public for assistance. They are particularly keen to hear from:
