A 58-year-old man from Dartford in Kent has been formally charged with a total of 33 serious sex offences, including multiple counts of rape and sexual assault, following an extensive police investigation.
Court Appearance Scheduled for Monday
Adebayo Adeyemi is scheduled to appear before Bromley Magistrates Court in South London on Monday, February 9, to face these charges. The defendant was initially charged on Friday, January 9, after being first arrested by authorities on October 20, 2020.
Alleged Offences Span Nearly Two Decades
According to police statements, the offences are alleged to have been committed against five separate female victims. The incidents are reported to have occurred within the South London area over a significant period, spanning from 2002 through to 2019.
The comprehensive list of charges brought against Adeyemi includes:
- Six separate counts of rape
- One count of attempted rape
- One count of assault by penetration
- Twenty-one counts of sexual assault
- Four counts of indecent assault

The Metropolitan Police have confirmed that all five women involved in this case are currently receiving support from specially trained officers. A spokesperson for the force emphasised that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
