Emergency services were called to the junction of Bath Road and Great South West Road shortly before 1:50 am after reports that a man had been stabbed. Haruun, who lived locally, died at the scene after staggering toward a 24-hour McDonald's in an attempt to seek help, according to Metro. He collapsed before reaching the restaurant.

The Metropolitan Police launched a major investigation, with forensics teams gathering evidence along the westbound stretch of the A4. Yellow markers were set up within a lengthy cordon, and medical equipment and clothing were visible at the scene. Halouf, of Hambro Road, Streatham, was arrested in Cardiff on Sunday, July 5, alongside a 21-year-old woman. He has been charged with murder and possession of a blade in a public place and will appear before Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.
