Islington father's urgent plea to find missing 13-year-old son Abdul
North London dad's plea to find missing son, 13

The father of a 13-year-old boy from North London has made a heartfelt public plea for help, as the search for his missing son enters a second week. Abdul was last seen leaving the family home in Islington on Saturday, 13 December.

Family's growing fear as search continues

Abdul has not been seen or heard from for nearly two weeks, despite extensive efforts by both the Metropolitan Police and his worried family. He was last seen wearing a black tracksuit and a pair of white trainers. His father, speaking on behalf of the family, expressed their deep concern for his safety and wellbeing.

"As a family, we are deeply concerned for Abdul’s safety and are asking for the public’s help in locating him," he said. The emotional appeal comes as the teenager has now missed the Christmas period with his loved ones.

Police believe teenager could be in West London

Detectives leading the investigation have revealed they now believe Abdul may have travelled across the capital. Officers think he could be in the Hounslow area of West London and are urging residents and visitors there to be vigilant.

Detective Chief Inspector Sarb Kaur, who is leading the investigation, emphasised the urgency of the situation. "Abdul should be spending Christmas day with his family, like any other 13-year-old boy," she said. "We are increasingly concerned for his welfare, particularly as temperatures drop, and want to see him home and safe."

Direct appeal to Abdul and the public

DCI Kaur made a direct appeal to the missing teenager: "Abdul, if you’re reading this, please get in touch with us or your family, we just want you home and safe."

The Met Police has issued clear instructions to the public. Anyone who sees Abdul or has any information regarding his whereabouts is urged to call 999 immediately, quoting the relevant reference. The force stresses that any detail, no matter how small it may seem, could be crucial in bringing him home safely.

The disappearance has sparked concern in the local Islington community and beyond, with the police investigation ongoing and focused on the Hounslow lead. The family continues to hope for his safe return.
