"I like it because of the way it's positioned between Richmond and Kingston," she explained. "It's just a good quality of life. There's lots of variety, most things you need, and you can get to London and Heathrow quickly."

I feel like we kind of have everything... It's near the river so it's good for dog walks and everyone's pretty friendly." Louis Hough, 26, who moved to Teddington as a child, still appreciates its advantages: "It's just a chill area... We've got dogs, so it's really nice to be able to walk to Bushy Park. Sometimes you forget how lucky you are really with that." He also noted that excellent schools influenced his parents' decision to relocate, with 23 schools within three miles rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

It seems like a quite close community... people are closer and they help each other. And I love the fact that you can see deer everywhere and all the time."

For others like Heidi Wagner, who relocated from Battersea nearly a year ago, Teddington offers an ideal escape from London's hustle. "We wanted to still stay on the river but have something a little quieter, a little closer to nature," she said. "From the train, 35 minutes we're at Waterloo, so I still feel I'm in London, but a little bit apart, which is nice."
