Inside Piers Morgan's £4m London Home & £18k 'Man Cave' for Injury Recovery
Piers Morgan's Lavish London Home for Hip Surgery Recovery

Broadcaster Piers Morgan is set to spend his recovery from a significant fall and subsequent hip surgery within the luxurious confines of his London home. The 60-year-old television host shared news of his accident over the weekend, posting a selfie from his hospital bed after taking a nasty tumble.

The Accident and Road to Recovery

Piers Morgan revealed he tripped over a step at a hotel restaurant in London, falling 'like a sack of spuds'. The incident, which occurred in January 2026, has left him requiring a hip replacement and dealing with a fractured femur neck. His recovery plan mandates the use of crutches for six weeks and prohibits long-haul flights, including trips to the United States, for three months.

From his hospital bed, where he is currently in a private suite, Morgan managed to engage with his former Good Morning Britain colleagues. He joked on social media about missing the 'big news' on the show, prompting warm replies from Susanna Reid and Kate Garraway, who assured him he had received a special mention and plenty of well-wishes.

A Lavish London Base for Recuperation

Morgan's primary residence for this period of convalescence is a substantial Georgian townhouse in the prestigious Kensington area, which he purchased for £4 million in 2009 from his father-in-law, former Tory MP George Walden. The five-bedroom property, where he lives with his wife Celia Walden and their teenage daughter Elise, is situated on a tree-lined street.

The home features classic and cosy interiors with wooden flooring, patterned rugs, and cream sofas, alongside more eclectic personal touches. Morgan's unique taste is displayed through various one-of-a-kind art pieces and knick-knacks. The property also boasts a private balcony, grand staircase, and huge stained glass windows. For quieter moments, floor-to-ceiling bookshelves stocked with countless titles provide ample reading material.

The £18,000 Garden 'Man Cave'

Perhaps the most distinctive feature of the home is the spherical garden pod that serves as Morgan's personal retreat. Designed by specialist Chris Sneesby, known as 'The Podfather', the structure is called an Archipod. With its wooden tile exterior and circular window, it stands out against the traditional garden setting.

Designed to complement the garden while offering an efficient and ergonomic workspace, the pod is fitted with a built-in walnut desk and shelves. This unique 'man cave' is estimated to have cost between £17,000 and £22,000, providing a perfect work-from-home sanctuary during his recovery.

Morgan's Other Properties

While grounded in London, Morgan and his family have other homes to enjoy once he is fully mobile. They own a £700,000 residence in Newick, East Sussex, for escaping city life. Furthermore, Morgan possesses a £4.2 million mansion in Beverly Hills, California, complete with five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a sprawling pool, an indoor bar, and staff quarters. Visits to this US property, however, are on hold for at least three months due to his travel restrictions.

As he focuses on healing, the broadcaster's well-appointed London home and its unusual garden pod will provide a comfortable and stimulating environment for his recuperation journey.
