British boxing champion Anthony Joshua is receiving treatment at one of Nigeria's most exclusive private hospitals, with his mother Yeta Odusanya having flown to his bedside. This follows a devastating car crash in Ogun State, Nigeria, on Monday which claimed the lives of two of his close friends and team members.
Surviving a Tragic Collision
The 36-year-old Joshua was the sole survivor of the horrific incident. The collision resulted in the tragic deaths of Sina Ghami and Kevin 'Latif' Ayodele. Reports indicate that Joshua's position in the front passenger seat of the vehicle likely spared him from the catastrophic injuries that proved fatal for his companions, though he still required urgent medical attention.
He was swiftly transported to the Duchess International Hospital in the Ikeja area of Lagos. His promotional company, Matchroom Boxing, has confirmed the athlete remains in a "stable condition" after being admitted for necessary checks and treatment.
