A 21-year-old man was arrested and released on bail after a large fight erupted in South London on Wednesday night following England's opening match at the World Cup.

Incident Details

The brawl broke out on Beckenham High Street at around 11:10 PM on June 17. Social media footage showed several people outside a pub throwing punches. Roads were closed as police investigated.

Police and London Ambulance Service attended the scene, treating a man in his 30s, a woman in her 30s, and another man of unknown age for minor injuries. All were treated at the scene.

Arrest Made

A 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was taken into custody and later released on bail.
