Maresca revealed the reason post-match, stating, 'It's a small problem, a muscle problem. He won't be available for Newcastle. We will see for the next one.'
This setback takes some shine off a positive evening for the Blues, for whom Estevao has been a bright spark in his debut season. The teenager has made 21 appearances, contributing five goals and an assist.

The quarter-final win at the Cardiff City Stadium was sealed by a second-half brace from substitute Alejandro Garnacho and a goal from Pedro Neto.
