The Coronation Street cast changes continue in 2026, with several characters leaving and new faces arriving. The first half of 2026 saw Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) die in an inferno, Becky Swain (Amy Cudden) sent to prison, and Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) murdered. New arrivals include Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) and Idris Nazir (Junade Khan), while Ross Wilkes, father of Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall), arrives imminently. Upcoming departures include Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), and Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher).
Coronation Street cast arrivals: Ross Wilkes
Tyrone's world is turned upside down when his father, Ross Wilkes, played by Ian Burfield, arrives on the cobbles. Producer Kate Brooks said: 'Tyrone's dad makes an appearance in the show. Needless to say, he comes with quite a bit of drama, and it's going to cause quite a lot of friction within that family, obviously with Cassie's history.' Ross's arrival ties into Cassie's exit, which Brooks described as 'massive and quite explosive.' Ross Wilkes arrives next week.

Debbie Webster
Debbie Webster, played by Sue Devaney, was diagnosed with young-onset dementia. Writer Jonathan Harvey confirmed the storyline will progress over 'the next few years,' and Devaney told Lorraine it will continue 'well into 2027.' No exit date is set.
Megan Walsh
Megan's story climaxes this week as she stands trial for abusing Will Driscoll (Lucas Hodgson-Wale). Actress Beth Nixon leaves the show. Brooks said: 'Obviously, there are soap Gods, and as in soap God's law, there'll be some kind of retribution for Megan. She cannot get off of this scot-free.' Megan leaves this week.
Cassie Plummer
Claire Sweeney leaves to star as Miss Hannigan in the UK tour of Annie. Her exit ties into Ross's arrival. Sweeney said: 'She knows what he's about. He's dangerous, but people don't see it, because he's very good at covering it up. She's started to be liked and to be accepted, so it's really sad. But it's the most fantastic exit storyline.' Cassie leaves later this year.
Nina Lucas
Mollie Gallagher leaves to play Clarice Starling in the stage production of The Silence of the Lambs, alongside John Partridge and Oliver Farnworth. Nina leaves later this year.
