Emmerdale's Jeff Hordley and his real-life wife Zoe Henry have finally shared a unique on-screen experience after 25 years on the ITV soap. The couple, who play Cain Dingle and Rhona Goskirk, have never featured in a two-hander scene together until now.
First Two-Hander Scene
Jeff confirmed the milestone in an interview with OK! Magazine, saying, 'We did a scene the other day… we've been in this show for a long time, and we've always been in scenes together in the Woolpack, but we did our first two-hander the other day!' He described the scene as 'really emotional' and joked, 'She was upstaging me. She was doing a lot of really good acting!'
The couple married in 2003 and have two children, Violet and Stan. Despite working together for decades, their characters rarely interact one-on-one, as Rhona is married to Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) and mostly interacts with the Dingle family in group settings.
Recent Storylines
Rhona's recent storyline has involved her family recovering from the deaths of drug dealers Celia Daniels (Jaye Griffiths) and Ray Walters (Joe Absolom). Celia and Ray subjected Rhona's stepdaughter April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) to an ordeal involving drug dealing and sexual exploitation. Celia was killed by Ray earlier this year, and Ray was murdered by Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards).
Cain has faced a dramatic 2026, including Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) being wrongly accused of double murder and people trafficking. Additionally, Cain was diagnosed with prostate cancer, had surgery, but was told the cancer has spread and requires radiotherapy.
Future Episodes
The two-hander scene is set to air in the near future, though details remain under wraps. Fans are eager to see the emotional moment between Cain and Rhona, a first in the show's history for the real-life couple.
