England star Tino Livramento is set to be ruled out of the World Cup campaign due to a hamstring injury, according to reports. The Newcastle United full-back sustained the injury during training and will miss the tournament.
Replacement in the Wings
England head coach Thomas Tuchel is expected to select a replacement, with Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah emerging as a strong contender. FIFA regulations allow nations to replace injured players up to 24 hours before their first World Cup match.
Recent Performances
Livramento, 23, came on as a half-time substitute during England's 1-0 win against New Zealand on June 6 and did not feature in the 3-0 victory over Costa Rica last Wednesday. He was pictured in training over the weekend as England made final preparations before their World Cup opener against Croatia on Wednesday.
