Every villain has their day, and time is running out for EastEnders' bunny-boiling baddie Bea Pollard. Actress Ronni Ancona has spilled the tea on her character's dramatic final showdown on the Square.
Bea's Descent into Madness
When Bea was introduced at the start of the year, she seemed like a sweet, slightly eccentric stranger nursing hurt over childhood playground teasing from Linda Carter (Kellie Bright). But things escalated quickly. Bea went full Fatal Attraction, Single White Female-ing Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton), manipulating her way into staying under her roof and even taking out a credit card in Honey's name, racking up enormous debt.
This did not sit well with Honey's husband, Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick), who pressured his wife to kick Bea out. But Honey's BFF from hell didn't take kindly to rejection, trashing McClunky's and sabotaging Billy's ladder—which backfired, leaving Honey severely injured.
The Final Straw
Bea's downfall began when she targeted Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt). Her desperate attempt to woo him led to unhinged behavior, including manipulating his council campaign. Ian exposed her credit card fraud to the Mitchells, leading to Bea being kicked out. But she's not finished yet.
In a final blow to Walford's sweetest couple, Bea plans to convince Honey that Billy is having an affair by creating a fake AI recording of his voice. The ballad of bunny-boiling Bea ends with one hell of a bang.
Ronni Ancona's Tease
Appearing on This Morning, Ancona chatted with hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley about her departure. She hinted at Bea's final deranged act: "This leads to a big showdown in the Vic and that's just for starters. And that kicks off a whole new level."
Cat Deeley noted, "You always knew she'd have an arc," which Ancona confirmed. "It was a real privilege," Ancona said. "They wanted to bring some dark humour, sort of malevolence but make it a bit funny. They'd said to me, 'It'll be perfect for you, Ronni. It's a really annoying, deranged, disturbed character. It's perfect for you.' And I'm like, [flatly] 'Yayyy.'"
The question remains: Will Bea finally get Honey, or is she about to get stung?
